| Описание оборотной стороны | The central vignette presents a detailed intaglio view of the Széchenyi Chain Bridge spanning the Danube in Budapest, with stone lion guardians at the bridge entrance and Buda Castle visible on the far bank, all rendered in green. To the left, the Hungarian coat of arms with apostolic double cross is set within elaborate foliate ornamental work, accompanied by a numeral 5 PENGŐ counter. The denomination legend appears in multiple languages across the upper and lower borders. |

Hungary's currency stabilization of 1924–1925 — engineered with League of Nations support after hyperinflation had rendered the korona worthless — created an urgent need for credible new banknotes in the reborn pengő system. This 5 pengő was among the first issues of that reconstructed monetary order, and its production was entrusted to the Hungarian Royal State Printing House in Budapest rather than contracted abroad, a deliberate choice signaling national recovery.
Ferenc Helbing was the foremost Hungarian graphic artist of his generation, trained in Budapest and Munich. His involvement gave the series a distinctly domestic character unusual for stabilization-era notes, which were more often farmed out to Bradbury Wilkinson or similar European security printers.
