| Opis rewersu | A heraldic shield of the chancery type, rendered à la bouche with a lance rest aperture at the dexter chief, bearing a sprig of cushag (Manx ragwort, Senecio jacobaea), the national flower of the Isle of Man, depicted in naturalistic detail with leaves, stem, and a fully open flower head. The shield is surmounted by a decorative scrolled crest of foliate ornament and flanked by elaborate mantling. The numeral 5 appears both within the lance aperture at upper dexter and at the base of the coin in the exergue area, serving as the denomination indicator. The design was engraved by Leslie Lindsay and commemorates the Quincentenary of the College of Arms. |
