Additional information

Guernsey's small-denomination coinage has long been produced under contract at the Royal Mint, and this issue is no exception — but the "non-magnetic" distinction here matters. The Royal Mint shifted UK 5 pence pieces to steel in 2012, and Guernsey followed a similar path at different intervals, meaning non-magnetic copper-nickel examples from this run will eventually be distinguishable from later steel issues by composition alone, not just date.
