| Reverse description | The reverse bears a multi-line Arabic inscription in flowing calligraphic script occupying the central field, recording the mint name and regnal year. The legend reads 'Struck in Tripoli West' (طرابلس غرب) with the AH date 1187 appearing in Arabic-Eastern numerals in the lower portion of the field. A decorative foliate or floral element appears at the top of the inscription. The design is contained within a plain inner circle and framed by a prominent beaded border consistent with the obverse, characteristic of Tripolitan provincial Ottoman coinage of this period. |
