Reverse description The denomination numeral '5' appears prominently at center in a large format, reflecting the later sub-type (KM#18.4-18.6) which omits the Devanagari legend above the value that characterized earlier sub-types (KM#18.1-18.3). The word PAISE is inscribed in Latin script below the numeral, with the date positioned at the bottom of the field. The mint mark, where applicable, appears below the date: a star (*) for Hyderabad, a diamond (♦) for Mumbai, and the letter B for Bombay Proof issues, while coins from the Kolkata Mint bear no mint mark.
