| Obverse description | Within a beaded border, a central circle encloses two crossed khukuri (kukri) knives arranged with hilts downward and tips upward, a small dagger or sword depicted above the crossing point. A circular Devanagari legend surrounds the central device, identifying the issuing monarch, with the Bikram Sambat regnal date rendered in Devanagari numerals at the base of the field. The overall design is executed in a clean, medallic style characteristic of Nepalese copper coinage of the period. |

| Reverse description | Within a beaded border, the central circle bears the Devanagari denomination inscription 'Paanch Paisa' (Five Paisa), surmounted by a trident (trishula) symbol with a small star to its right. Ornamental scrollwork flourishes flank the central circle on either side. The upper arc carries the legend 'Sri Pashupatinath' in Devanagari script, invoking the patron deity of Nepal, while 'Nepal' in Devanagari is inscribed along the lower arc. |
