Obverse description Central field features a raised circular border enclosing two crossed khukuri (kukri) knives arranged saltire-wise, their blades pointing outward, rendered in bold relief. Surrounding the central device, a Devanagari circular legend occupies the broad flat band between the inner circle and the milled border, reading the royal name and titles of King Tribhuvan Veer Vikram Shahdev. The Vikram Samvat regnal year appears at the base of the legend. The coin is struck on a broad flan with a prominent rope-style milled edge.
