Aanvullende informatie

Pakistan's nickel-brass small denominations from this period were produced partly at the Pakistan Security Printing Corporation in Karachi and partly through contracts with foreign mints as domestic capacity was being built up. The 5 Paisa circulated heavily through a decade that included the 1965 war with India and the political upheaval surrounding the 1971 secession of East Pakistan as Bangladesh — years when monetary stability was secondary to survival.

The series was eventually phased out as inflation eroded the paisa's purchasing power to practical uselessness by the mid-1970s.
