Obverse description The obverse features the crowned royal cipher of King Adolf Fredrik of Sweden, rendered as the interlaced monogram 'AF' in large roman letters occupying the central field, surmounted by an elaborate Swedish royal crown with pearled arches and fleurs-de-lis. The circumferential legend, separated by a rosette stop at the top, reads SALUS PUBLICA SALUS MEA (meaning 'The welfare of the State is my welfare'), with the date appearing to the left of the crown stop. The coin's milled border is visible at the periphery, and the flat field surrounding the monogram gives the design a clean, heraldic character consistent with mid-18th century Swedish coinage.
