| 备注 |
Greenland's earliest paper currency was issued not by a central bank but by the Danish government's colonial trading monopoly, the Kongelige Grønlandske Handel (KGH), which controlled virtually all commerce on the island. These small-denomination notes functioned essentially as trade tokens within a closed economy — redeemable only through KGH itself, with no path to convertible currency for most Greenlandic users.
The silk fibre security feature is worth noting: applying it to a note this small and low in face value was an unusual decision, likely driven by standardized paper stock across the series rather than any genuine counterfeiting concern at the 5 øre level.
