Obverse description Crude, schematized frontal or near-frontal bust of a ruler occupying the central field, rendered in the debased late antique style characteristic of Visigothic provincial coinage. The effigy is heavily stylized, with indistinct facial features and vestigial drapery at the shoulders, reflecting the declining die-cutting traditions of the period. The surrounding field is flat and largely plain, with no legible legend preserved on this example. The flan is irregular and the surfaces exhibit heavy patination consistent with prolonged burial. The overall execution is typical of the low-denomination bronze issues struck at provincial Visigothic mints in the early seventh century.
