| Opmerkingen |
Yugoslavia's hyperinflation of 1992–94 was among the worst ever recorded, peaking at a monthly rate of around 313 million percent in January 1994. The "novi dinar" redenomination launched that same month replaced the old dinar at a ratio of 1 to 12.5 million — itself already a redenominated currency. This 5 Novih Dinara note was effectively obsolete within the year, when a further redenomination pegged the new dinar to the Deutschmark at parity.
Printed in-house by the NBJ's own facility in Belgrade, the series was produced under conditions of severe material shortages. A watermark was included, but the security infrastructure was minimal given the pace of production required.
