| Obverse description | Portrait of President Mobutu Sese Seko in military dress uniform with peaked cap occupies the right portion of the note, set against a multicolour guilloche underprint with geometric and floral motifs in brown and orange tones. A large intaglio numeral '5' appears in the centre, flanked by a vignette of a leaping leopard in the lower centre and the national coat of arms in a circular medallion at lower right. The date 24·6·1993 is printed below the central numeral, with the serial number appearing twice in red. |
