| Reverse description | Large intaglio vignette of Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong), the historic fortress-monastery, rendered in fine line engraving and set against a hillside landscape with surrounding outbuildings and terraced grounds. The inscription "ROYAL GOVERNMENT OF BHUTAN" appears in capital Roman letters along the top border, with "FIVE NGULTRUM" and its Dzongkha equivalent along the lower margin. The caption "PARO DZONG" is lettered discreetly at lower right of the vignette, and numeral "5" is repeated at each corner within scrollwork surrounds. |
