Obverse description	Printed in brown on an uncoloured ground, the obverse carries a central vignette of President Ho Chi Minh in three-quarter portrait within a guilloche-patterned frame. Chinese characters flanking the portrait denote the denomination, with the numeral 5 appearing in each upper corner and again within a floral guilloche at the foot of the design. The legend VIET-NAM DAN-PHU CONG-HOA arches above the portrait beneath a further row of Chinese script, while GIAY NAM DONG appears in a cartouche immediately below the bust.
