Obverse description At left, the face value rendered in both Hebrew and English numerals and script. At upper center, two fir trees flank the State Emblem of Israel — a menorah flanked by two olive branches. The name 'Israel' appears in English, Hebrew, and Arabic encircling the central design. A border inscription in Hebrew and English reads 'like a green fir tree' with the biblical citation Hosea 14:8, rendered in both scripts. The overall composition is framed by a beaded inner border.
