Popis líce	The central vignette presents three male figures representing the generations of Eritrea — a young boy flanked by a younger child and an older man — rendered in an intaglio-style portrait composition. At the left, a flag-raising scene is inset, evoking the nation's independence. The currency name appears vertically along the left margin in both Tigrinya (ናቕፋ) and Arabic (نقفة) scripts, with the denomination and issuer inscriptions running across the upper and lower registers.

Popis rubu	The reverse is dominated by a naturalistic vignette of cattle at rest beneath the broad canopy of the historic Ficus sycomorus (sycamore fig) tree at Segheneyti, a tree revered as a national symbol of Eritrea. The composition fills the central field, with the tree's expansive crown occupying the upper portion of the design. Denomination and bank name inscriptions appear in the upper and lower margins.
