Obverse description Central field features four large Chinese characters 宣統元寶 (Xuantong Yuanbao) arranged around a decorative floral rosette at centre, all within a beaded inner circle. The outer legend reads in Chinese across the top and sides: 喀什 (Kashgar) and 五錢 (Five Qian), with Arabic script inscription below reading بش مثقال كاشنو ضوب ١٣٢٩ (Five Mithqal, Kashgar Mint, AH 1329), encircling the beaded border. The bilingual layout reflects the coin's dual Chinese-Islamic administrative context of Sinkiang Province under the Xuantong Emperor.
