| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field bears four Chinese ideograms arranged to be read top to bottom and right to left, flanked by additional ideograms above and below, with a decorative floral ornament at centre. Arabic legends appear at either side of the central design. The overall layout reflects the bilingual (Chinese and Arabic) administrative character of Sinkiang Provincial coinage of the Guangxu era, with all inscriptions contained within a plain border. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A sinuous five-clawed Chinese imperial dragon, depicted in high relief, coils across the field with its tail sweeping to the right and its scaled body rising above stylised waves at the base. The dragon's horned head faces forward with an open jaw, and its clawed forelimbs are raised around a flaming pearl at centre. Auspicious cloud scrolls fill the surrounding field. The design is contained within a beaded inner border. |
