Reverse description A coiled Imperial Qing dragon with scaled body and ferocious frontal-facing head occupies the central field, encircled by a beaded inner border. The dragon is depicted in high relief with outstretched claws and flame-like appendages, facing forward with an open mouth. Surrounding the beaded circle is a floral wreath composed of leafy branches rising from a ribbon bow at the base, with a chrysanthemum or rosette motif at the top. The outer rim is decorated with a fine dentilated border. The wreath design varies by variety, with differences in leaf placement and the number of rosettes at the top as noted in the Yeoman catalogue references.
