Obverse description Intaglio-printed in carmine on greenish paper. The left margin carries a reference to the Decree of 1 June 1833, while the central upper field bears a classical allegorical vignette of two putti representing the arts. The Arms of the Brazilian Empire appear to the right, with the denomination and payment obligation inscribed across the face in a structured letterpress layout.
