| 备注 |
Brazil's Thesouro Nacional relied heavily on American Bank Note Company throughout the early republic period, and this 14th print of the 5 Mil Réis is one of the later iterations of a design that had been cycling through successive printings since the 1890s. The numbering of prints — rather than distinct issues — reflects how the Treasury managed note supply: rather than redesigning, they simply ordered additional runs against the existing plate contract, adjusting quantities as monetary demand shifted.
Robert Savage was one of ABNC's senior engravers during this period, responsible for work across multiple Latin American contracts. His name appearing in the margins places this firmly within the New York shop's production, not a licensed plate used elsewhere.
