Comments

The Banco do Brasil had been reconstituted in 1905 after its earlier collapse, and by 1930 was operating under considerable strain — the October revolution that brought Getúlio Vargas to power disrupted normal banking operations almost immediately after notes of this series entered circulation. The "2nd Print" designation distinguishes this issue from the earlier ABNC run on a technical basis, likely reflecting a plate revision or paper contract change, though both prints circulated concurrently.

ABNC's involvement was standard for Brazilian federal paper of this period; the New York firm held long-standing contracts with multiple South American governments simultaneously.
