Reverse description Central field displays the Western-Arabic numeral '5' at the top, followed by the Arabic inscription 'ضرب في باريس' (struck in Paris) arranged in two lines below, denoting the denomination and mint of issue. The legends are enclosed within the same decorative geometric meander border as the obverse, framed by a dentilated outer rim. The design is entirely epigraphic, with no figurative elements, in keeping with Moroccan Sultanate coinage of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
