Aanvullende informatie

Estonia's 1926 5 Marka was struck during the country's first period of full monetary independence, after the Estonian mark had replaced wartime German occupation currency. The Bank of Estonia managed the transition carefully, but the mark itself was already living on borrowed time — the kroon would replace it entirely in 1928, making this issue one of the final mark-denominated coins produced for circulation.
