Obverse description Conjoined busts of two figures in left-facing profile, the foreground bust depicting a bearded mature male with short curly hair, rendered in high relief with finely detailed beard and military collar, and a second bust overlapping from behind depicting a younger figure adorned with a laureate wreath, also facing left. The juxtaposition of the two effigies likely represents the successive Prussian monarchs of 1888. The field is plain and unlettered, and the coin is bordered by a continuous raised beaded rim.
