KM# Pn10 identifies this as a pattern piece — a Prussian mint trial struck in silver-plated copper rather than the standard .900 fine silver of the circulation issue. Pattern strikes of this type were produced for internal approval and technical assessment, not public release. The 1913 date places it in the final years before wartime silver shortages forced genuine composition changes across German state coinage.
