Reverse description Central device comprises the German Imperial eagle displayed, with wings spread and head turned to the left, surmounted by a crown above and bearing the quartered imperial shield on its breast, surrounded by the chain of the Order of the Black Eagle. Below the eagle, elaborate foliate and scrollwork mantling fills the lower field. Two six-pointed stars flank the denomination legend FÜNF MARK at the base, while the legend DEUTSCHES REICH and the date 1905 arc around the upper periphery, all enclosed within a beaded border.
