| Reverse description | A bold left-facing bust of Freiherr vom Stein (Heinrich Friedrich Karl vom und zum Stein, 1757–1831), the celebrated Prussian statesman and reformer, dominates the central field in high sculptural relief. His hair is rendered in loose natural waves, and his strong profile is depicted in a neoclassical medallic style. A circular Fraktur blackletter legend surrounds the effigy, reading continuously around the full periphery and incorporating his dates of birth and death. |
