Reverse description The standard Imperial German eagle displayed with wings spread, head turned to the right, clutching a sceptre and orb in its talons. The breast bears a central shield charged with the Hohenzollern arms, surrounded by an ornate collar of the Order of the Black Eagle. Above the eagle's head rests the Imperial crown with elaborate mantling to either side. The legend DEUTSCHES REICH arcs across the upper field flanked by the date 1902 at right, while the denomination FÜNF MARK is inscribed along the lower field, with five-pointed stars serving as separators. A beaded border frames the entire design.
