Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Karl I of Württemberg, depicted with a full beard and short hair, rendered in high relief with fine portrait detail. The truncation of the neck is cleanly cut and positioned at the lower centre of the field. The circular legend reads KARL KOENIG VON WURTTEMBERG, disposed around the upper and lower periphery, separated at the base by the Stuttgart mint mark F. The entire design is contained within a plain inner border and an outer beaded rim.
