The denomination "Fünf Mark" is rendered in large Gothic blackletter script across the upper portion, with a large numeral "5" superimposed over an oval guilloche cartouche bearing the text "Fünf Mark" in lighter underprint. Below, the issuing authority "Der Magistrat der Stadt Landsberg a. d. Warthe" is set in Gothic script, flanked by a red serial number at lower left and two manuscript signatures, with an embossed dry seal at lower right; the header panel reads "KRIEGSGELD" and the printer's imprint "CARL FLEMMING A.-G. Above the central text block a city arms eagle device is printed as an underprint, surmounted by the denomination "5 Mark 5" in pink; the central panel carries a Gothic-script redemption notice and the issuing authority's name, followed by two manuscript facsimile signatures, all enclosed within a decorative ruled border with repeated "5 Fünf Mark" lettering in the top and bottom margins. |
