Beschrijving keerzijde	The reverse presents an allegorical vignette from the series 'Die Eingemeindung Altendorfs in 4 Bildern' (the incorporation of Altendorf in 4 pictures), this being the fourth scene. The central composition shows two male figures — one in formal dark attire, the other in red breeches — embracing within a wreath of red roses, above which sits the Holzminden town coat of arms surmounted by two billing doves. Two scroll banners flank the scene, carrying the series title in red on the left and the humorous caption in black on the right, all executed in a bold, illustrative letterpress style in red and black.
