正面描述	The upper portion carries the title inscription NOTGELD DER STADT HOLZMINDEN in bold red letterpress within an Art Nouveau foliate border. A panoramic vignette in grey letterpress occupies the central field, rendered in a detailed linear style and presenting a riverscape with a steamboat on the Weser, the town of Holzminden beyond, and a church steeple rising above the roofline against a clouded sky. To the lower left, a large octagonal denomination cartouche in red bears the numeral 5 over the word Mark, with the printer's imprint Druck: Gebrüder Jänecke, Hannover centred at the foot; the validity clause and issuing authority signature appear in a scroll panel to the lower right.
