A small vignette of a fortified city gate with a cockerel occupies the upper left corner within decorative scrollwork, while each corner carries the digit '5' in a circular guilloche cartouche. The issuing authority 'FRANKFURT A.O. DER MAGISTRAT' and date '1. DEZ. 1918.' are inscribed at lower centre, accompanied by two manuscript signatures, a serial number box at upper right, and a vertical cancellation stamp along the right margin.
