| Obverse description | Green and dark blue letterpress Notgeld note with a central ornate guilloche oval enclosing the large white numeral '5' flanked by the word 'MARK' on a lighter green band. A small vignette of a fortified city gate with a cockerel occupies the upper left corner within decorative scrollwork, while each corner carries the digit '5' in a circular guilloche cartouche. The issuing authority 'FRANKFURT A.O. DER MAGISTRAT' and date '1.
