The centre carries the large bold denomination legend 'Fünf Mark' flanked by numeral '5' at lower left and right, above a text line stating the issuing authority and payment obligation. The date 'Maulbronn, 31. Dezember 1918' appears mid-field, below which the Bezirksrat title, the Reg. Rat designation, and a manuscript signature of the Vorsitzender are printed. | Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is printed in a decorative Jugendstil border composed of dark rectangular panels at the corners and sides, with stylised wheat-sheaf motifs on the lateral panels and geometric ornaments at the corners. The central vignette presents a polychrome panoramic view of Maulbronn with its historic monastery complex, red-tiled rooftops, a tall Gothic church spire, and wooded hills receding into the background under a pale sky. The denomination '5 Mark' is set in large white lettering on a black banner at the top, with numeral '5' in cartouches at either side; two scroll panels at the foot carry the validity inscription. |
