| Obverse description | Typeset Kriegsnotgeld (war emergency note) printed on a fine guilloche underprint in grey tones. The centre carries the large bold denomination legend 'Fünf Mark' flanked by numeral '5' at lower left and right, above a text line stating the issuing authority and payment obligation. The date 'Maulbronn, 31. Dezember 1918' appears mid-field, below which the Bezirksrat title, the Reg. Rat designation, and a manuscript signature of the Vorsitzender are printed. A violet cancellation handstamp 'Entwertet / Bezirksrat Maulbronn' is applied diagonally at upper left, and a red serial number appears at both upper right and lower left. |
