| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in green with a dense guilloche underprint of interlacing floral and geometric patterns covering the entire field, with ornate circular medallions bearing the bold numeral "5" at each corner. The central text block carries the denomination "Fünf Mark" in elaborate Gothic Fraktur lettering, flanked above and below by the issuing authority and redemption clause in smaller script. The date "Dresden, den 1. November 1918" is printed in red alongside two manuscript signatures, with the series designation "REIHE U" and serial number likewise in red at lower left and right. |
