备注	Freiberg was one of Saxony's most historically significant mining towns, and its 1918 Notgeld issue came at the point of maximum strain on the imperial monetary system — metal coinage had long since vanished from circulation, absorbed by wartime requisitions. The printer Krey & Sommerlad operated out of Niedersedlitz, a Dresden suburb that handled considerable regional emergency currency work during this period. The watermarked paper was a deliberate step above bare-minimum production, suggesting the city intended these notes to retain some credibility in local trade. The designer credit to Rieß is atypical for municipal Notgeld of this class — most cities didn't bother.
