| Obverse description | Printed in brown on cream paper, the note is framed by an ornate Gothic-style border with scroll and floral motifs. The left panel bears a large numeral '5' over the stylised monogram 'MK' set against a decorative dark ground, while the right panel carries an engraved vignette of the Bonifatius-Denkmal (St Boniface monument), the saint shown standing atop a stepped pedestal and holding a cross staff, with the caption 'Bonifatius-Denkmal' below. The denomination 'FÜNF MARK' is set in bold Gothic blackletter type at centre, above which appears the issuing legend 'Gutschein der Stadt Fulda', with the city arms as an underprint behind the denomination text. |
