正面描述	Black letterpress on cream paper within a decorative scrollwork border with the numeral 5 in circular medallions at each corner. The denomination 'Fünf Mark' is set in large Gothic script at the top, flanked by 'Stadt' and 'Sorau N.L.' in bold type on either side of a central heraldic vignette showing the quartered coat of arms of Sorau with stags, a dog, a letter W, stars, and an arrow, set within ornamental foliate scroll wings. Below, a text block states the redemption conditions, followed by the issuing place and war-year date 'Sorau N.-L., Kriegsjahr 1918', a serif numeral serial number within a ruled box, the authority legend 'Der Magistrat', and two manuscript signatures.
