| Obverse description | Cream paper with a red decorative border of repeating geometric and diamond motifs enclosing the entire design. A central red underprint vignette shows the Furtwangen municipal coat of arms flanked by fir trees, over which the large Gothic-script denomination "Fünf Mark" is letterpress-printed in black. The issuer's name appears in bold Gothic type at the top, with the validity date, serial number, place and issue date of 6 November 1918, and two manuscript signatures above the printed roles of Bürgermeister and Ratschreiber arranged in the lower portion. |
