| Obverse description | Portrait of King Moshoeshoe II in military uniform occupies the right side, rendered in intaglio in blue-violet tones. At centre, the national coat of arms is enclosed within a circular vignette, surrounded by an ornate guilloche lattice underprint in orange and green tones across the entire face.
