| Obverse description | Central vignette shows an ornate urn or vessel within an elaborate arabesque cartouche, surrounded by fine guilloche borderwork in brown on a light ground. The Syrian national arms — an eagle with shield bearing three red stars — appears at right, with Arabic inscriptions of the bank name and denomination arranged above and below the central device. A serial number appears twice, with date and two signatures below the central cartouche. |
