| 备注 |
The Banque de Syrie et du Liban was a French concessionary institution — its note-issuing rights derived from a 1919 concession granted by the French government, not from any Syrian or Lebanese central banking authority. By the time this series was struck, both Syria and Lebanon had formally declared independence, making these notes a peculiar afterlife of the Mandate system: French-printed currency for states that were no longer French territories.
Dreyfus, who signed her work as "Rita," was one of the few women engravers active at the Banque de France print shop during this period. Deloche handled the obverse plate.
