| Obverse description | The obverse depicts a decorative Russian Hanukkah lamp (chanukiah) of the 20th century, rendered in stylized relief at the center of the field. The lamp is flanked symmetrically by two rampant heraldic lions facing inward, each supporting the lamp with raised forepaws, evoking a traditional Jewish decorative motif. Below the lamp, an ornamental horizontal band with a scalloped fringe separates the central design from the lower field. A three-line Hebrew inscription appears in the lower portion of the field, identifying the depicted artifact. A small engraver's mark is present at the base of the design. |
