| Reverse description | A detailed frontal view of the Central Bank of Malta building occupies the central field, rendered in fine architectural relief with colonnaded facade, arched windows, balconies, and a flagpole bearing the Maltese flag above the central pediment. The inscription BANK CENTRALI TA' MALTA appears on the entablature of the building. The engraver's initials NG and the date 1988 appear flanking the lower portion of the building, with the denomination Lm5 prominently displayed in the lower exergue. The circular legend REPUBBLIKA TA' MALTA runs along the upper periphery within a beaded border. |
