Reverse description A boldly rendered eagle with wings spread wide stands facing forward atop a fasces — the bundled rods with an axe blade protruding to the right — symbolizing Fascist-era Italian state authority. The eagle is depicted in fine detail with clearly articulated feathers on both wings and body. To the upper right of the field, the inscription PROVA DI STAMPA (trial strike) appears in a curved line, while the mint mark R and date 1926 are placed to the lower left. The denomination L.5 is inscribed in large characters at the bottom of the field, all set against a smooth background with rich iridescent toning.
