Obverse description Bare-headed bust of Victor Emmanuel III in right profile, depicted in military uniform with an elaborately decorated collar visible at the truncation. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine sculptural detail characteristic of the Italian Liberty style. The circular legend reads VITTORIO EMANUELE III RE D'ITALIA, with a raised dot separating the beginning and end of the inscription. The engraver's signature D. CALANDRA appears incuse at the base of the bust truncation.
